Below are some quick tips for using Zoom during an NA meeting...

Participants

When you mouse over the screen, a strip appears at the bottom of the

screen. Click on 'Participants'. This will make a list of everyone in

the Zoom meeting come up on the right hand side

Mute/Unmute

You can mute or unmute yourself by clicking on the ‘Mute me’ button

under the participant list on the right hand side of the screen.

Chat

Pull up the ‘Chat’ facility by clicking on chat in the control bar at the bottom of the screen. It will then appear in the right of your screen.

Speaker view/Gallery

Toggle between the speaker view and the gallery view at the top right of the screen. This will display either the person speaking or the whole

group

Raised hand

If you want to share, you can raise your hand using the button under the participant list on the right hand of the screen. That will put a clear hand symbol next to your name so the secretary will know you want to share.

Responding

Please remember that everyone speaking at once – even if only to say hi or thanks before and after a share – can be quite disruptive as we cut each other out. Try using a hand gesture instead
